It’s okay, but not amazing.

There isn’t a single Ferrari on sale I think is good looking. To be honest I don’t think they’ve made many pretty cars in quite some time.

I have to agree. I lusted after the 512 BBi, 308/328, and of course the Daytona. The F12 isn’t too bad. I love the Ferrari The Ferrari, but not for its looks.

For me, Ferrari hasn’t really made anything I’d consider “pretty” for a long while. Visually striking? Yes, absolutely. But beautiful? Not really.
The 458 is a decent looking car, but I don’t like those little catfish antenna fins at the front. I know they have a purpose, but they just hurt what is a generally attractive car.
The F40 represents my Ferrari ideal. It’s just so perfectly proportioned and utterly functional in its appearance that it becomes beautiful as you study how all those lines, ducts, and grills work together to create that shape.
It doesn’t help that I am so over the cult of Ferrari and can’t be bothered about their cars anyway. They make great cars, but Ferrari is no church, despite what they’d like everyone to think.

I like the cars for what they’re capable of, but the most recent ones I really wanted based on appearance were the 550 and the 355.

I wouldn’t call it pretty, but in person it reminds me more of a spaceship, the styling you’d see in a late 80s to early 90s space shooter video game; and I like that. I say it looks cool, not pretty.

I think it is one of the prettiest cars in the past 5ish years. And probably the prettiest Ferrari in the past 20 years.

It’s better than the F430, but I wouldn’t call it pretty. The problem is that it needs to have highly developed aerodynamics to perform well and aerodynamics are rarely “pretty”. Cool and amazing yes. Not pretty. Unlike in Enzo’s time, aerodynamic inefficencies cannot be overcome with simply more power.

My admiration for the 458 came in the introduction of different variants. I found the normal 458 pretty from the side, but from the front it looked too tight. Then the 458 Spider came out and I thought - that design was meant to be a convertible from Day 1. Then the 458 Speciale came out and I thought, wow that looks pretty damn good.
THEN THE 458 SPECIALE APERTA CAME OUT AND I WAS LIKE GIVE TO ME NOW

The back of the Speciale, yes. Everything else, no.

I think the Ferrari 488 look damn good, It’s prettier then any other current super car in my opinion. Lambo’s aren’t very pretty and neither are the McLarens or 911’s

What do you mean?

The F355 was the last pretty Ferrari made. The 458 is hideous.

Blech, dat fat ass.

I’m not a fan of the look of the 488 either.

No. I hate its exhausts and the stupid moustache on the front, plus I think all Ferrari rear lights are distilled ugly. It has a nice side profile though.

To each his own. What do you think is the best looking new car on todays market?
![]() 05/08/2015 at 12:51 |

In the realm of super cars probably the Huracan or the new R8.

oh yeaaah! I forgot about the 458 Special and the 488... and the Hurican as well lol. Too much Ford GT, Z06, and Viper ARC awesomeness out there. I think it looks pretty dang good honestly. Can’t wait to see it in person. Nice GT2 spec feel to it

Personally, I don’t think it’s something that’s up for discussion. The 458 is a pretty car, whether you like it or not, the same way a sunset is pretty, whether you like them or not. Actually, it’s beautiful. This is not a statement of opinion, it’s a fact. If you don’t like it, than just say you don’t like it. But calling the car ugly is just incorrect. The same goes for most Aston Martins.

Pretty, to a point, but I feel that to me it will end up like the 360 and 430 in that they quickly end up being boring to me (aesthetically and generally) because these are just their run of the mill “everyone’s” Ferrari. Meaning there’s nothing overly special about them and they’re amongst the easiest of all Ferrari’s to get (I think, I’m not in the market).
*I’ve taken heat for the boring comment before so to clarify, I don’t mean they’d be boring to drive. I expect them to be far from boring to drive. I just mean the looks of them grow old quick, and overall they’re not that special or uncommon.

It’s not stunning. It’s better than its upcoming replacement, but that’s not saying much.

It’s pretty

It’s a very aggressive looking car - not supposed to be something that looks pretty.

I’m actually a big fan of the 458 Dragon Edition.
But I think the F430 is prettier than the 458 overall.

Fuck all that shit, I find the 458 sexy sexy sexy. Beautiful, drop-dead gorgeous kind of sexy. Only the Aston Martin V12 Vantage is as sexy in my eyes.

valid question - it took a while for me to warm up to it, (I never really like the original wheels too.) But now I really like it - especially the spider. One of those Speciale Apertas in that pearl yellow is on my “if I win a big lottery” list. But I think the new Huracan is physically more beautiful.
